I doubt it. This restaurant is run by a wonderful family who give themselves Sundays off so it would surprise me if they didn't take holidays off as well.
Time changes due to the holiday I suggest you to call them 269 381 0788
No
No, you don't need a reservation. You can order food in advance via phone for pick up.
The fish curry every Tuesday is my all time favorite—they got the spices from India. I would also recommend the Asam Pedas, Nasi Lemak (sambal is good 😍) , Ayam Mentega and Teh Tarik. I’m giving it three stars because the customer service was the worse I’ve ever experienced! The employees threw the straws to us on the table, gave out dirty looks when I went to request for a box to take away, didn’t bother responding when he CLEARLY saw me waiting and calling for him.Don’t bother tipping them, I just go there for the food.
Everything I have ordered from here has been so good!! Service is good, food is always fresh. My absolute favorite is the Roti with Curry. You need to try this place!!
Best fried rice in Michigan!
Best Indonesian cuisine you can get this side of the world. 10/10 recommend, if you don't go here you are missing out on life and one of the best restaurants in the Kalamazoo area.
This family owned restaurant is authentic and delicious! It is always an incredible experience.
Great little restaurant. Food is fantastic and has more of a diner feel than a restaurant.
1st class ! You can taste the food is made with real talent!
Nice little place with good Malaysian food and cheap! No sign by road. No ambience.
Very good. Try the spicy malay noodles
Friendly. Really tasty. Small seating area. Big portions.
Good food for fair price!
I was very excited to find an Indonesian restaurant. This soon changed. The server, possibly the owner, was extremely rude. The table we had was so dirty that when I tried to clean it with my napkin and was from my glass it quickly turned black!I was so looking forward to some gado gado. It was horrible. The veggies were either mushy or raw. I had both in the dish. There were no peanuts and the peanut sauce was just very thin peanut butter with no seasoning. My husband's dish was just as bad.Unless they make some serious changes we will never be back. Rather drive to Ann Arbor or Chicago.
The food is always amazing here. Rasa Ria is a small, clean restaurant. We've been going here for a little more than 10 years!
The food was good. Quite authentic. The service on the other hand was AWFUL! The server had a bad attitude and it even seemed like he didn't want us being there. Super weird vibe and just being around made me and my friends uncomfortable. I'd suggest ordering it to go rather than spending time there.
We go every Thursday for the chili chicken but everything they make is good
Yesterday was my first time going and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious. I had the tofu rendang and I have to say that was some of the best tofu I've had. The prices are reasonable and they have a nice variety on their menu. The only negatives are that their food wasn't spicy (maybe I had to specifically request it and it's just my personal taste) and that it can be difficult to see if you are coming from downtown.
Nice food was relly good and had nice and hardworking staff
Essentially they give me a lot of meat for not a whole lot of money. The service is fast, and the food is absolutely delicious. I'll keep coming back here as long as I live in Kzoo.
Awesome food
The combination rice that has sardines in it is amazing you guys hook it up and make it worth every penny spent the food is filling and very delicious.
This place... this place blew my mind. I went and I ordered what Ivar suggested, some kind of green curry thing, vegetarian. I ate it and went directly back for a second order. The next day I took my friend to this place. He ordered one thing, I don't remember what it was, and he went directly back and got a second order. And then the third order. This place is the best kept secret in Kalamazoo. I've never had anything like it, this is the most delicious food I've ever had. PS Ive lived in Chicago, New York, and LA.
The food is very delicious, hopefully can stay like that, the owner start the bussiness 15 years ago, and had been through some of back and forth condition and they make adjustment of meals in order to suitable for western people.
The food here is very tasty. The restaurant is small and keeps odd hours, but everything I've tried has been great. The pulled tea and desserts are spot on, and the ayam goreng mentega is really tasty. This is the only restaurant I'm aware of in Michigan serving this type of cuisine, so it's definitely worth searching out.
I try to get here on Thursdays at lunch for the chili chicken. It's delicious and the owners are super nice. I'll be going here for as long as I'm in Kalamazoo.
Just found out about this restaurant very yummy foods with good prices I recommend this place for you to try their foods
Food was great. We got Curry Puffs, Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Chicken Curry. Honestly I'd been craving Nasi Lemak since coming back from Malaysia, and it did not disappoint. Priced really well and the portions are good. We are looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. This place is going to become a staple for us.
Excellent Malysian food! Don't be put off by the small size of the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful owners. You may think you are being yelled at when you walk in the door or order online, but you are actually being treated just like family. You'll know the one I'm talking about when you go. And you should go. You won't be sorry.
The food is quite delicious offering lots of flavor. I tried one of the curry puffs, its basically a small crusty pastie with curried minced lamb. It was so good! I also tried the noodles, amazing! They have a good selection and my food was cooked to order very quickly. Its a small place with relaxed service. My waitress took my order from across the room, behind the register while I sat at a table. Prices were on point and I will definitely go back again. YUM!
The best ethnic food in town. Great owner. Very passionate to the craft.
Not really my style of food. It was hard to find something on the menu that sounded good, and I am by no means a picky eater. The staff sounded like they were arguing most of the time we were there. Small eating space that could use some cleaning. My wife had the vegetable curry, and that was actually very good. Fresh veggies and big portions.
The food is always good, and the owners are always there to serve you with a smile.
I picked up dinner last night and it was awesome. I had the chicken cury and I got something for my wife (don't remember the name) that was like a seafood soup over noodles. Nice and spicy, just the way she likes it. The menu had great descriptions which made it easy to order for someone that isn't familiar with the cuisine. Great portions for a great price. I'll have left overs for lunch today. They were very busy. but got my order out quickly.
We heard about this place through an Odyssey post and thought we should try it out. Upon walking in, the shop was kind of small, but still had seating area. The staff was very friendly and our takeout was ready in less than 15 minutes. The food was amazing! Never having anything besides cheap Chinese food, this stuff definitely took first place. We will definitely be back soon.
We’ve been coming here for years and love the Gomes’s. Great dood at an adorable price and they love their customers. When I call to place my order they answer with my name! ❤️
Great food and menu selection
Nice people but food was not good at all
This is a must go to Asian restaurant. Indonesian food is new to me but this has become one of my have to eat places at least once a month or more. I normally get the spicy, hot seafood soup( Mi Sup Assam Pena’s), it’s is a big bowl of comfort food.
They have amzing food and thier worker's thier are just amazing
Delicious food! Just wish they were open more often and made more curry puffs, I've heard raving but never tried em.
Real Malaysian food!! The service is not great but the food is definitely authentic (I grew up in Malaysia). If you try to get a conversion, they warm up to you and will chat with you throughout your meal. They offered Indonesian good as well. I would encourage a take out since it is a very small restaurant with 5 - 8 tables.
Fantastic food at a more than reasonable price. I highly suggest this place to anyone who likes noodle, rice, or curry dishes!
Surprised to find a Malaysian/Indonesian restaurant here in Michigan. Went there for dinner and ordered a curry chicken with rice a bowl of Sup Asam Pedas (spicy & sour soup with seafood and chicken). The soup was really good. The curry chicken was not fantastic and was a little disappointed. Wanted to try the Pulut Inti dessert (sticky rice with coconut topping) but was told it wasn't available. But overall it was a good experience at the restaurant as this was an unexpected find for me.
Delicious food, quick and reasonable prices.
Food is usually good. Although, at times the quality of the food seems to be below par. The service on the other hand is terrible compared to the food.
The food is good, the prices are affordable, and service is quick. Recommend the roti canai and the nasi goreng
This restaurant is amazing! The food is beyond delicious, great prices, always consistent, always fresh, one of the gems in Kalamazoo, and even better than many big city restaurants.
The flavors here are just perfect. I find myself craving Rasa Ria all the time, especially on a cold day.
Great food at a great price. Plenty of menu options for everyone. Their sauces are an excellent combination of herbs and spices.
Always fantastic!!!
